We've done the Blue Cove canal tour in the summer and enjoyed it.
Sightseeing pond with a really large blue pond. Will require a car or booking a tour. If driving try to get their early to avoid the tour groups.
Lots of different farms with lots of flowers in addition to lavender. Different ones will have different foods and activities like - petting zoo, bike riding, playgrounds etc.
Most famous Onsen town on Hokkaido. View Hell Valley, find all the oni statues, hike to the natural footbath, and stay at a ryokan.
Closer to sapporo, lots of ryokans and some outdoor activities around the lake.

A couple of different ramen alleys to try Hokkaido style miso and butter corn ramen. Lots of other varieties.
It may be summer, but the soup curry around town is delicious. Give it a try.
Obsessed with this shrimp ramen. They also have a branch at CTS airport that you can go to on your way in or out.
Eat as much ice cream and other dairy as possible, Hokkaido is famous for it's cows and milk!
Obviously, Sapporo Beer comes from here. There's a Factory and Garden to check out. Also try Sapporo Classic, it's only available in Hokkaido.
Also famous for it's seafood, star shaped fort, and night view from Mt. Hakodate. It's a bit far from Sapporo, but we're checking it out in early May.
